See Superdrag, Weezer and Dinosaur Jr. at PJ's Lager House

Around Detroit, Halloween is a big deal! It's no secret that we kind of celebrate the holiday for the entire month of October, with great parties, streets full of homes decked out with spooky decor, and, of course, Halloween cover shows. Having Detroit bands play as their favorite bands has become kind of a big deal in the Detroit area and we don't mean just an average cover band in a bar playing chart toppers. We mean bands transforming into their favorite artists for the night and truly paying tribute to them.

Over the years there have been quite a few of these types of shows popping up around town. This year, one of the first of the season is happening this Friday night at PJ's Lager House. It has one of the best line ups too! Performances for the night include THE SEEDS (members of The Vonneguts, The Q), WEEZER (The Ill Itches), SUPERDRAG (members of Destroy This Place, Ryan Allen and his Extra Arms, Thunderbirds Are Now!), BOB SEGER SYSTEM (members of Hemlock Park and others), DINOSAUR JR (former member of Woodman/Octagrape and others), LOVE (members of Deadly Vipers, Moonwalks) and HARRY NILSSON (members of Tin Foil, Moonwalks, Eroders). It should be a super fun night, full of great music!

Cover to get into the Lager House's cover show is only $4, which is quite the steal! It is a Halloween show, so of course costumes are encouraged. The party kicks off at 9 p.m. and the first band hits the stage at 10. For more info on the show and for set times, head over to the Facebook event page here.
