Two Great Ways to Check Out The Whisky Parlor

Ahhhh, whiskey. You either love it or hate it. I happen to be one of those people that loves it! Lucky for me and all of the other whiskey lovers out there, there is a new place in Detroit to sip on this wonderful adult libation.

The Whisky Parlor is a new bar in Downtown Detroit. It is located above the Grand Trunk Pub at 608 Woodward Ave. Some of you may be familiar with this site as it was the old home of Motor City Wine. This new bar focuses on something a little harder than wine, with 100 whiskys available. However they do still have wine and champagne selections too, as well as craft cocktails. The Whisky Parlor also features some pretty fancy food on their menu, you can take a peek at a few photos of what they have to offer here.

Perhaps the best way to check out this new spot in Detroit is to come out to their Friday Cocktail Hour called "Day 5". Every Friday from 5-8 p.m. there will be live jazz music by the Whisky Parlor Trio featuring Logan Quinn, Kevin Miller, and Trevor Robertson, along with complimentary hors d’ouvrés. If you can't make it out on Friday night, this Saturday will be the first edition of Day 6, the parlor's weekly Saturday event featuring live DJs and of course, great whisky. This week's DJs will be D Wynn, Tyler Yglesias and RJ Stefanski, you can get more information on that event here.

The Whisky Parlor is open 7 days a week starting at 5 p.m. To stay in the loop and to find out about upcoming events at the parlor, head over and give them a "like" on Facebook here.
