Dirt Fest Takes Over Birch Run for 2 Days Instead of 1

If you follow us on social media, then you know there is a festival coming up this weekend that we're pretty excited about! Dirt Fest will be taking over the Birch Run Expo Center once again this year. It's pretty obvious that this fest isn't exactly in Detroit, but who doesn't want to head north from time to time? Especially in the summer! Plus some of your favorite Detroit companies and bands will be there too, like Child Bite, Beast In The Field, Kaleido, Harlow, InkAddict, PRTY Crew Collective, and of course, Hip In Detroit. So why wouldn't you want to head up and join in on the fun?

This year's Dirt Fest is changing things up a bit and will be a two day festival instead of just one day of fun. This means there will be more bands, more partying, and a lot of crazy people staying the night in Birch Run. Things kick off on Friday when gates open at 2 p.m. The lineup for Friday night features HELLYEAH, Coal Chamber, Fear Factory, Mushroomhead, King 810, Jasta, Beyond ThresholdUpon A Burning Body, The Convalescence and Below The Tide. Most of the action will be taking place on the main stage on Friday, but on Saturday fans will see the set up that they're a little more used to for Dirt Fest. There will be bands spread across several stages starting at Noon and going until Down ends things Saturday night. Also on the lineup for Saturday are Pop Evil, Kottonmouth KingsTaprootWe Are HarlotStarsetEyes Set To KillPsychostick, Murder FMFrom Ashes to NewRED SUN RISINGBlue FelixAnother Lost YearDavey SuicideNuisanceDeadringerChild BiteKaleidoAUTUMN COMADeverau, HEARTSICKIt Lies WithinBeast In The FieldThrough The AshesKid Brother CollectiveADABOY!CADRE, VI Code Incense, Brody and The Busch Rd. In addition to all of the great bands, there will also be vendors on site, Meet & Greets with the bands, and there's always fun things to do on your down time, like dunk tanks and photo booths.

This festival is always a blast and we can't wait to stretch the fun out over two days. Check out a recap of our day at Dirt Fest last year to get a feel for what this event is all about.

Since we always have such a good time at Dirt Fest, this year we wanted to share the fun with you immediately, instead of a few days later. So, we will be taking over Dirt Fest's Instagram this weekend! We can't wait to give you a real time, inside look at this crazy festival, so make sure you are following Dirt Fest on Instagram (@dirtfest) and while you're at it you should probably follow us too (@hipindetroit)!
