Hip In Detroit Gets a Room Of Our Own! Co-Founders Christie & Sadie in front of our new office door!

Hip In Detroit is excited to announce that we have officially packed up our home offices and moved into a new space!!! We have teamed up with Michigan made clothing and lifestyle brand InkAddict to step things up and elevate this website to a whole new level. In 1929 Virginia Wolfe wrote, "a woman must have money and a room of her own if she is to write fiction". We don't write fiction (I guess that depends on what critic you're asking), but we understand the importance of having good funding and the space we need to keep this thing going.

Starting today, we have officially taken residency in one of the front offices of the InkAddict headquarters in Ferndale, Michigan (we know it's not Detroit, insert your jokes now). When InkAddict presented us with this amazing opportunity, we couldn't say no! We hope to start shooting more videos, more interviews, and creating more content for all of you. We are hoping to meet a lot of new bands, try a lot of new restaurants, and to check out a lot of new artists. We can't wait to invite everyone to our space to talk to us! Have something you think we need to know about? Email us at
Not only will Hip In Detroit be able to cover more of Metro Detroit, but we will also be working with InkAddict to start booking monthly events inside their flagship space! If you haven't checked out the new Flagship store, we highly suggest you stop by. Are you looking for a great place to have an art show, to do an album release party, to have a listening party, or to host an event? If you are, feel free to email us at We will be looking for the hippest bands, people, and events to have inside the doors of the space!
This is a huge opportunity for to expand its reach. If you haven't checked out InkAddict's clothing and lifestyle line, head over to their website and give it a look. They make some pretty neat stuff! We are so excited to be teaming up with such a great group of people that want to be more active in the Metro Detroit community! Thanks to everyone that has supported us so far and thanks to InkAddict for giving us this opportunity!
