Hip in Detroit's Picks for the Weekend: March 11-13

Friday, March 11th - Jackamo @ the Ferndale Library: 
Start your weekend off with Jackamo at the Ferndale Library this Friday night! The band will be performing as part of the library's First Stop Friday Concert series. The doors of the library will reopen at 7:30 p.m. for the show and the music starts at 8. 

Saturday, March 12th - The Detroit Musical Movie World Premiere @ Ant Hall: Planet Ant's popular stage show "The Detroit Musical" has been turned into a movie and the world premiere is this weekend! Saturday night, head to Ant Hall to travel through 320 years of Detroit in this film. Tickets to the screening are $10 and can be purchased here. The movie will be followed by a Panel Audience Talkback and then an Afterglow at the Ghost Light Bar. Both are included in your ticket price. 


Saturday, March 12th - SNODISCO #10 @ Lincoln Street Art Park: Say goodbye to winter by dancing and partying in the cold at Lincoln Street Art Park this Saturday night. The Detroit Party Starship is holding a SNODISCO with "Electronic Dance Music for the masses". The party starts at 10 PM. Cover is free, BYOB. Lincoln Street Art Park is located at 5960 Lincoln St. in Detroit.


Sunday, March 13th - Detroit St. Patrick's Parade: After taking two years off due to the pandemic, the Detroit St. Patrick's Parade returns to Corktown this weekend! Put some green on and head down to Michigan Ave. for a day of fun and festivities. The parade starts at 1 p.m., but the bars and businesses along the way will be celebrating all day.
