Find Something Fun at Ferne Boutique Detroit

Are you stuck in a clothing rut? Do you want to learn how to style things a little differently? Personally, I cleaned and reorganized my closet a lot during the lockdown and was blown away by how many times I have purchased the exact same dress/pants/shoes and shirts. Frankly, I wear too much black and stick to the same three or four cuts, and while I love the idea of having a signature style, I think it's also important to try something new. One of my favorite places to find style inspiration is at local boutiques and one of the best places to find some new ideas is on the mannequins at Ferne Boutique.

If you have ever looked at Fenre's Instagram/Facebook, you know that they drop daily outfit inspiration posts using the clothing that they carry inside their stores. I love the looks that they come up with and how they style the pieces, but I don't like to buy clothing online without feeling the fabrics for myself. So, whenever I see something I like on the gram, I make a point to stop in and see it for myself.  My favorite part about these visits is that I always get even more outfit inspo by looking at how things are laid out and styled in the store. During my last visit, I was determined to buy something cream-colored, but as I started to shop the racks I was only looking at black dresses and blazers until I saw a mannequin that used a cream sweater over a dark grey dress as a way to switch things up. I immediately purchased the sweater and can't wait to wear it on the first fall day that it gets a little cool when the sun goes down. I would have never thought of a scrunched-up sweater as a way to extend the life of a dress, but by buying this one simple piece, I have added color to my Fall wardrobe and extended the life of all of my favorite dresses without spending very much money! So, if your looking for some style inspiration or want to check out a great boutique with quality products, stop into Ferne Boutique Detroit in Midtown and see what kind of new things you can try, to switch things up and make getting dressed and ready to go fun again.
