Rail and Anchor is All That and a Cup of Tea

Let's be honest, holiday shopping is a pain in the ass. First of all it's cold out. Second, it can be hard to park, and then once you get inside, the stores are a mess and the lines are insane. Running all over town to get gifts can really suck the fun out of the season. So we suggest skipping the whole hectic thing and shopping local this season instead.

We have been stopping into some of our favorite local stores to see what they have for the season and they have all been delivering. In fact, when we stopped by Royal Oak's Rail and Anchor this week, we found two gifts that we needed and got to enjoy a fresh cup of tea as we walked around. When we walked in we were pleasantly greeted and offered a drink to warm up. They checked on us while we shopped and offered to gift wrap our items at the end for FREE. Why would you want to bother with the mall or a big box store when you can have a nice experience and get something that no one else is going to get them? We were especially pleased with the selection of male grooming items and cool candles at this shop. There truly is something for everyone in every price point.

Rail and Anchor is open from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday. You can see more of what they sell by following them on Instagram here. We also recommend stopping into Scout, Lost and Found Vintage, and UHF Records when you visit Rail and Anchor, they are all in walking distance of the shop.
