Don't Miss Hip In Detroit's New Podcast Featuring The Queen Herself, Jax Anderson

Over the last few months we have invited a variety of Detroit's movers and shakers into our studio at Podcast Detroit to chat with us about all of the hip things that are happening in and around the City of Detroit. Thanks to the generosity of our show's sponsor, M-1 Studios, we have had some interesting conversations with people who work behind the scenes and we have invited some of the city's biggest up and coming acts to chat with us before releasing their next album or playing their next show. This month we have the privilege of taking it to the next level because we have the honor of interviewing one of the city's most influential and inspiring artists right before the release of her new EP and a few weeks before what we anticipate to be one of the most talked about events of 2017.

Hip in Detroit has invited The Queen of Detroit, Miss Jax Anderson a.k.a. Flint Eastwood into the studio to talk to us about her latest EP Broke Royalty which is coming out on April 14th. That is the same night that she will headline at The Fischer in Detroit alongside Tunde Olaniran, SYBLYNG. and Michigander.

The first single off the new album is called "Queen". It was released a few weeks ago and you can check out the music video and the track here,  Her next single "Push" will be released this Thursday, March 23rd, so keep your eyes on social media and give it a listen before you tune in to hear us chat with the Queen herself this Sunday, March 26th at 6 p.m. We plan to go deep and find out everything we can about the new album and what we can expect at the big release show.

Mark your calendars for the live broadcast on Podcastdetroit.com at 6 p.m. this Sunday and head over to Fusion Shows website to guarantee your spot at the huge album release show on April 14th. Tickets are $15 in advance and I can't see any scenario where this one doesn't sell out. We can't wait to take you deep inside the mind of what we consider to be Detroit royalty.

Mark Your Calenders for the First Hip in Detroit Podcast!

Flier created by: Monster Free Design

Over the last four years Christie and I have worked very hard to write about all the hippest thing in Metro Detroit. We are both so thankful to have a loyal following that is willing to explore the ever changing place that we call home. We are also always looking for new ways to bring you the hippest news in town and thanks to our friends over at M1 Studios we will now be adding a monthly podcast to the list of ways that we can connect with Metro Detroiters.

This July we will be hosting the first of many podcasts about everything Detroit. We will be able to give our listeners an in depth look into a variety of topics by inviting some of the very hip people that we write about into the studio to chat. Each month we will feature a new guests (or guests) chatting about a variety of topics, including music, food, politics, culture and Detroit.
For the very first podcast we have invited Matt Dalton and Mike Moore to join us in the studio. Matt is co-owner of Metro 37 Recording Studios and co-creator of Dirt Fest, a 20 year old festival that is moving from Birch Run to Pontiac for the first time this Summer. Mike is co-owner of Ironclad Tattoo Co. and PRTY Crew Collective. We will all be chatting about the upcoming festival as well as each guest's personal projects.
The first podcast will air at 5 p.m. on July 17th through Podcast Detroit. To listen live you can follow this link or you can download the podcast after it airs. We will share that link after it is released.

We are very excited to be able to bring you the latest and greatest out of Detroit as well as in depth interviews with all the hip people that make this city move.
