Win Tickets to Party with The Hood Internet Friday Night

Mash up masters The Hood Internet are heading to town this Friday night! The Chicago based duo got their start playing in indie band May or May Not, but now they are making their music from other people's music. They take some of your favorite songs and mix them together to make new songs. It's a concept that has become pretty popular over the years, but every mash up artist still has a sound of their own. Check out The Hood Internet's latest mixtape below.

If you want to dance the night away with The Hood Internet, head to Marble Bar this Friday, September 23rd. They will be joined for the night by Showyousuck and Detroit's own James Linck. This will be an amazing show and an awesome dance party for sure! Tickets for this show are $15 and can be purchased in advance here. The party is set to start at 9 p.m. and 18+ are welcome to attend.

Win Tickets to See Black Moth Super Rainbow This Friday!

Experimental band Black Moth Super Rainbow is currently touring around the U.S. and will be making a stop right here in Detroit this weekend. Friday, May 10 they will be at The Magic Stick. The lineup also includes The Hood Internet and Oscillator Bug.

Black Moth Super Rainbow is from Pittsburgh and was started in 2003 as a solo project by frontman/songwriter TOBACCO. Since then they have added a live band and released 5 albums. The most recent one, Cobra Juicy, was just released this past October. The band has elements of psychedelia, folk, electronica and pop, so there is something for almost everyone mixed in!

The all ages show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are available online here for $15. However, we are going to be giving away two pairs of tickets to two lucky winners.
