Attention all streetwear enthusiasts and art lovers! Norwest Gallery of Art is proud to present Hype Market, a monthly pop-up shop featuring limited-edition street apparel and home furnishings designed by local artists. The first Hype Market will showcase the works of Seydehwon Nagbe, a self-taught artist from Detroit, Michigan.
Seydehwon Nagbe's unique style and perspective come from his background growing up in a low socioeconomic area, his devotion to his Jewish faith, and his love for basketball. Seydehwon has been mentored by renowned Detroit-based artist Judy Bowmen and is excited to showcase his work at Hype Market.
Hype Market's opening event is on Saturday, March 11th, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The regular store hours will be Thursday and Friday, 1-5 p.m. (by appointment only), Saturday 12-6 p.m., and Sunday 12-4 p.m. Call (313) 293-7344 to make an appointment.
