It's Time to Put Yourself Out There, Have a Coffee, and Try Improv at Sip Prov

The landscape of Detroit has changed a lot post-COVID. We have found it a bit harder to find new friends and new experiences, so we have really been trying to put ourselves out there. We realize that we can't be the only people who are feeling a little lost and disconnected in this new landscape, so we are going to start sharing a lot more ways that you can put yourself out there and try something new in Metro Detroit.

The first thing we want to tell you about is a new event called Sip Prov. Local comedian and Hip Prov creator Tam White has designed a new way for people who want to try improv and meet new people to give it a try in a no-pressure environment. This open to all jam will feature for purchase coffee from Detroit Sip and vegan baked goods from Zella's Bakery as well as a space for you to meet new people and to try your hand at improv. On top of all of this, proceeds from the event will go to The Detroit Creativity Project, a great organization that supports Detroit's creatives.

Sip Prov will take over Detroit Sip on Saturday, October 15th from 4:30 p.m. - 7 p.m. Detroit Sip is located at 7420 West McNichols and there is a suggested donation of $5 at the door.

If you are not sure what improv is we suggest checking out Monday Night Improv at Planet Ant. It has been a Detroit staple for decades and it will help you understand why this creative outlet/performance outlet can be so freeing and fun.
