Experience Nirvana's 1991 St. Andrew's Show and Celebrate 1 Year of Reware Vintage

Imagine for a moment that it's October 11, 1991. You just go off work and you have two tickets to see Nirvana play downtown at St. Andrew's Hall. The band is on the road in support of their mega-hit album In Utero and somehow you scored passes to see it all go down. You throw on the well-worn Soundgarden shirt that you picked up when they played the Hall in November of 1989 with your favorite pair of Dr. Martens and your warmest flannel shirt before heading out to the show. Nirvana opens with "Jesus Don't Want Me For a Sunbeam", plays through an assortment of songs from Bleach, Nevermind, and In Utero before closing the entire night with the song "Endless Nameless". After that show, your life is forever changed.

We can't go back in time to take you to that show, but we can tell you about a fun way that you can experience it with other people who appreciate cool Detroit history and a good throwback outfit.  Reware Vintage is celebrating one year in Downtown Berkley by inviting the community into the store to watch the full VHS copy of the 1991 St. Andrew's show with them. Yes, they will be rolling out the AV cart for this one. They will also be having a big in-store and online sale in celebration of their anniversary. This means you can come to watch the movie and see if there is any great secondhand stuff that you need to take home with you to add to your collection.

The movie night starts at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 14th. Reware Vintage is located at 2965 West Nine Mile, Berkley, Michigan. Follow them on IG to stay in the loop and see all the cool stuff they list! When you can, we always recommend shopping second-hand first.
