Learning is Fun, Especially When You Can Have a Pint While You Take in Some Knowledge

Over the last few weeks, the James Webb telescope has given all of us a whole new look at the universe. We have new insight into the creation of our universe,  black holes, and how galaxies merge. This has sparked a whole new interest in what or who is out there. Humans have been looking to the skies to answer some of our most pressing questions for centuries. But, to truly understand where we are today we need to understand the origins of the study of astronomy, starting with Galileo and the “The Dawn of Modern Astronomy”.

Profs and Pints has invited speaker Prof. Eric H. Ash, a historian of science from Wayne State University, to talk about the origins of astronomy during their latest lecture at Planet Ant on September 18, 2022. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Student tickets are only $13 a piece. Click here to learn  more about the event and to purchase tickets.
