Spend the Afternoon at the Detroit Historical Museum & Get Tickets to a Pistons Game

If you're looking for a way to escape the cold for an afternoon and do something different, plan a visit to the Detroit Historical Museum. Whether you've never been before or it has been a while, a trip to this museum will entertain you for hours, while teaching you a thing or two too. The museum is home to three floors of exhibits, covering Detroit's history from its beginnings to present day. There are displays about music, pop culture, the auto industry, the Underground Railroad, the 1967 Riots, and more. There is even a small town on the lower level, replicating the streets of Detroit in the 1800s.

Admission to the Detroit Historical Museum is only $10 for adults, $6 for kids, and $8 for seniors, students, first responders, and active military personnel. You can also buy a membership for your household for just $35, which grants annual admission to up to 6 adults and children all living at the same address. On top of all of this, for a limited time you will also receive a voucher for 2 tickets to a Detroit Pistons game with each paid admission to the museum. This promotion applies to both the Detroit Historical Museum and the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, as a partnership between the Pistons and the museums to promote culture and black history in the community. So, plan a day trip to the museum and then a night out to a game all for one low price!

The Detroit Historical Museum is located at 5401 Woodward Ave. in Detroit, just across from the DIA. You can visit the museum Thursday - Saturday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. or Sunday from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. For details on upcoming exhibits at the museum and special events, follow the Detroit Historical Museum on Facebook or visit their website here.
