Ticket Giveaway: Xiu Xiu @ MOCAD

This Thursday night, Party Store Productions will bring Xiu Xiu to Detroit. The experimental band just released their eleventh album, Girl with Basket of Fruit, earlier this year. Now they are out on tour in support of that album. Check out the music video for the first track off the new album and then read ahead for details on the Detroit show.

Xiu Xiu will be performing live at MOCAD this Thursday, May 16th. Joining them for the evening are Lou Tides of TEEN and saajtak. Tickets for this show are $13 for MOCAD members and $15 for everyone else buying them in advance. The day of the show, tickets will be $18. Thanks to Party Store Productions, we are also giving away a pair of tickets to this show to one lucky reader. Win Tickets to Dance it Out wIth XIU XIU this Thursday

XIU XIU wants you to get off your ass and dance! They encourage everyone to dance during the good times and to dance even harder during the bad ones! The band recently released its 13th album called Forget and they are currently on tour creating dance parties all across the US. They will be visiting El Club in Detroit on Thursday, March 30th to perform alongside You., who recently relocated to Detroit from NYC. Tickets to attend the party are $13 in advance and $15 at the door the night of the show.
