Faust is a living legend, The band made a name for themselves in the seventies and created a new genre of music called Krautrock, a genre that mixes rock with electronic. The band originated in Germany. They revolutionized the art of musical recording and dabbled in almost every single musical genre around. They were a huge influence to lots of other industrial artists.

The legends will be coming to Detroit to perform at the Marble Bar this Monday, March 14th. We think it's pretty cool that the Marble Bar provides a fun intimate space to see legendary artists like Faust. It has quickly become one of the hippest venues in Detroit and Party Store Productions brings some of the coolest acts through its doors on a near daily basis.


This time around they have Gangwish and DJ Edgar opening the show. Tickets to get in the door are $17 in advance and they can be purchased here. Musical super trio Rangda recently released their third full length album called The Heretics on Drag City Records. Their music is non-linear and and their sound has been described as psychedelic noise rock. All three members of the band have been part of some pretty amazing projects throughout their careers including Sun City Girls, Comets on Fire, Bjork and Jandek.

They will be making an appearance to The Marble Bar this Wednesday, March 9th at 9 pm. and the boys will be performing alongside Guerilla Toss and the Shells. Tickets for the show are only $10 dollars in advance, they can be purchased here.

This week Party Store Productions is bringing some great acts through town. The first show we want to tell you about is Doug Tuttle playing solo (formerly of Mmoss) wsg John Krautner and The Sugarcoats at the Marble Bar this Wednesday, February 17th. 

Doug Tuttle's new record is called It Calls on Me. He is currently on tour in support of his new jams. If you would like to hear what he sounds like these days, you can check out this live music video for the song "With Us Soon" from the new album.

Virginia has good taste. She turns me onto to lots of new artists that weren't on my radar, but clearly should be. Doug is one of those artists. You can give his new music a listen here, and if you like what you hear you should head out to Marble Bar to see him play this Wednesday!

I don't know about you, but live music at Marble Bar sounds a whole lot better.

24 Hour Giveaway: Win Tickets to See The So So Glos wsg Dirtwolf at Marble Bar

New York punk rockers The So So Glos are coming to play The Marble Bar this Tuesday, November 24th. Detroit will be the last stop of their tour and they will be performing with Detroit's own Dirtwolf. If you are not familiar with The So So Glos, peep this music video for the song "Lost Weekend".

The Glos are known for their DIY approach to music and touring. There are not a lot of great punk rock bands in New York City anymore, but they are keeping the scene alive by working hard to support smaller venues across the country.

The music will start at 9 p.m. tomorrow night and The Marble Bar is located at 1501 Holden Street, Detroit, 48208.
