Win Tickets to the Summer Slaughter Tour at The Majestic

There used to be a ton of big fests and tours that made their way around the US every summer. There was Ozzfest, Mayhem Festival, and Warped Tour, just to name a few. Well now the first two are gone, and after this year, Warped Tour as we know it will be no more. But, there is one tour that doesn't plan on going anywhere anytime soon, and they like to pride themselves on being the most extreme tour of them all, The Summer Slaughter Tour.

The Summer Slaughter Tour started in 2008 and is continuing to go strong throughout North America. This Thursday, July 26th it will make its way to Detroit to take over The Majestic Theatre. This summer, the tour will feature Between The Buried And Me, Born of Osiris, VEIL OF MAYA, ERRA, The Agony Scene, Allegaeon, Terror Universal, ENTHEOS, and Soreption. Tickets to see this awesome lineup live are $29.50 in advance or $35 the day of the show. You can pick up your tickets in advance here. We will draw one lucky winner early on Thursday morning and will send them details on how to claim their prize.

Win Tickets to The Summer Slaughter Tour Featuring The Dillinger Escape Plan and More!

I officially declare Ramona Shureb and Sarah Norton of Black Iris Booking the two coolest girls in Detroit. The shows you have brought through Detroit this last year alone have been mind blowing. You have done more for this city and for music than most of us and we cannot thank you enough. Keep the music coming. I have to admit that this latest booking really stepped it up and raised the bar yet again.

This Sunday, August 11th Black Iris Booking presents the Summer Slaughter Tour at The Majestic Theatre. This lineup will feature The Dillinger Escape Plan, Animals As Leaders, Norma Jean, Cattle Decapitation, The Ocean, Rings of Saturn, Periphery, Revocation, Aeon, and Thy Art is Murder. If you have not had the chance to see Dillinger Escape Plan live, it's worth the ticket price just to see them. I also can't wait to check out Periphery and Animals As Leaders. I've heard people rant and rave about both of them.

This show starts early and goes all day. Doors are at 2 p.m. and all ages are welcome. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door the day of the show. They will also be hosting an after party at 10 p.m. in the Garden Bowl with music by Scorned Deity. The after party is for 18+, so stick around after for more good music and drinking. The Majestic Theatre and Garden Bowl are located at 4120 Woodward Ave. in Detroit.
