Win Tickets to See SWMRS at The Majestic on Tuesday

Oakland California is the birthplace of MC Hammer, Sheila E., Tim Armstrong, and Too Short. It is also the birthplace of SWMRS, an OC born band that recently released their second album Berkeley's On Fire on Fueled by Ramen Records. They are currently on tour with Beach Goons and Destroy Boys and they will be making a stop in Detroit to play at The Majestic this Tuesday, April 16th.

Tickets for this show are $19 in advance and $21 at the door. We also have a pair of tickets to give away to the show. We will be drawing one lucky name on Tuesday and that person will get to attend the show for free with a friend. Win Tickets to See SWMRS with The Interrupters

This Friday night SWMRS and The Interrupters will be hitting the stage at the Magic Stick. The two bands are currently out on a co-headlining tour and will be joined by The Regrettes. The tour kicks off in Chicago on Thursday night and The Interrupters are just coming off a South American tour with Green Day. Check out some music videos from each of the bands to get ready for this awesome show.

Tickets for Friday's show are $16 in advance or $18 the day of the show. You can pick up your advance tickets here. Win Tickets to See SWMRS at The Majestic Cafe

SWMRS have come a long way since they got their start over 10 years ago. They are currently on tour across the U.S. with The Frights and they are gearing up to release a new album on Burger Records, entitled Drive North. You can listen to it and pre-order the new release on cassette here or check out music video for the first single, "Figure It Out", below.

SWMRS will be hitting the stage at The Majestic Cafe this Sunday, March 13th. Joining them are their tour mates The Frights and Detroit's own Young Hunger. Tickets for the show are $10 and can be purchased in advance here. The day of the show they will go up a couple of bucks to $12. All ages are welcome and doors are set to open at 8 p.m.
