Concert on the Fly Brings Music to the Streets of Detroit this Weekend

If you've been wanting to get out of the house and if you miss seeing live music, Frugal on the Fly has you covered this weekend! This Sunday afternoon, Frugal on the Fly presents Concert on the Fly, a day of Jazz. The event will take place outdoors at Filthy Americans clothing store in Detroit. The day will feature music from five acts in the street outside and pop up shops inside the store. Check out the schedule for the day below.

1 p.m. - Special Guest
3 p.m. - Jerome Clark

Admission for the concert is only $5, with proceeds going to Frugal on the Fly's community outreach efforts in Detroit. In addition to the music, at 3 p.m. performance artist Scott McDuffee will be creating a 36x48 piece of art that will reside in a Detroit shelter, which Frugal On The Fly is helping to remodel. McDuffee will also have two smaller pieces that will be prizes in a raffle at the event, along with items from Cranbrook Institute Of Science, Frugal On The Fly, Teffola, and Radiant Paws. There will also be refreshments available for purchase, including drinks to warm you up, like coffee and hot cocoa.

This family friendly event will take place from 12-6 p.m. on Sunday, March 21. Filthy Americans is located at 1312 Holden in Detroit. To purchase your tickets to Concert on the Fly, click here. For more information on Frugal on the Fly, click here
